Jane Vogas  trained from an early age with her father E. H. Lacey -a noted English sculptor, etcher and portraitist.
Jane learned wood carving and gilding at the City and Guilds School of Art in London and later attended life drawing classes at the Slade and ceramics at the Zurich school of Art and Design in Zuerich Switzerland. Jane has had several solo exhibits, has exhibited at The Royal Portrait Society London. She had a pastel work Highly Commended in the artist’s category of the Patchings Art Exhibition in the UK. Jane has exhibited widely both in Crete and Athens, was actively involved in founding ‘Touch’ Arts Festival for Aghios Nikolaos and has organized several ‘Hands on’ art events for the festival.
