Dimitris Vassioulas  was born in Athens in 1963. After studying at the School of Religious Studies at the University of Athens, he began his artistic activity and worked with painting, photography, video, stage design. Stage and costume designer for the performance of the theatrical group of Ierapetra and the choreographer Niki Papadaki, he has also worked on public commission paintings in Crete, in Andros and in Epirus. He has received several awards, for his painting and stage design, and has participated in several festivals and group and solo exhibitions in Crete. He lives and works in Ierapetra, Crete..
