Established artist, born in Cognac (France) in 1971,Richard Trian explores materials, textures and techniques in a self-taught way, even though he followed open university courses at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Bordeaux. Teacher of fine arts, he manages the municipal school of art of Jensac, in the Charente region, a city in which he lives and works. Richard Trian questions the parallel paths of urban art between postering, graff, tag and stencil. Starting from photographs taken in the street, he encircles, distorts, diverts a pattern and works over it as a track at the heart of his paintings. Exploring support materials -wood, canvas-, textures, techniques -collage, acrylic paint or aerosol-, he reinvests contemporary imagery of the city walls.
