Kostas Pagomenos was born in 1960, in Heraklion, where he lives today. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Charleroi, in Belgium, and at Charles Sczymkowicz’s workshop, between 1976 and 1980. He taught at several establishments in Crete, and has participated in many public commissions, including one of the Natural History Museum of Heraklion and of the Aquarium of Crete. His work has been exhibited on a regular basis especially in public areas since 1979 in Crete, Athens and Belgium. Since 1992 he has mainly devoted himself to sculpture.
